Information we may collect from you
The data we collect depends on the context of your interactions with 8BitDo and the choices you make, and the products and features you use. Information you provide to us. Personal Information that you provide to us, such as when using the contact form on our website, including your name, email address, and other contact details;
Our correspondence. If you contact us, we will typically keep a record of that correspondence;
Information about how you use our products and services: such as information about the amount of time you use our products/services for the pages you visit, and other information about your activities while using our hardware or software. We collect this in order to develop our products and services, and to understand what your usage patterns and preferences are so that our marketing is relevant to you;
Survey information: we may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. In such circumstances we shall collect the information provided in the completed survey;

With whom do we share your information?

For all transfers, we ensure there are suitable safeguards, such as a legal adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, and Privacy Shield certifications.
Sharing outside the 8BitDo group: Personal Information may be provided to third parties, including anti-fraud organizations, legal, regulatory or law enforcement authorities in cases of suspected criminal activity or contravention of law, for the detection and prevention of fraud, or when required to satisfy the legal or regulatory requirements of governments, regulatory authorities or other self-regulatory organizations, or to comply with a court order or for the protection of our assets.
Sharing with the 8BitDo group: We may share your Personal Information within the 8BitDo group, including locations where we do business, for marketing purposes, for legal and regulatory purposes, to manage credit risk and other business risks, to ensure we have correct or up to date information about you and to better manage your relationship with us.
Sub-contractors and agents: We may use affiliates or other companies to provide services on our behalf such as data processing, account administration, fraud prevention and detection, analytic and marketing. Such companies will be given only the Personal Information needed to perform those services and we do not authorize them to use or disclose Personal Information for their own marketing or other purposes. We have contracts in place holding these companies to the same standards of confidentiality by which we are governed.
Security of your personal information
No data transmission over the Internet or website can be guaranteed to be secure from intrusion. However, we maintain commercially reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your Personal Information in accordance with data protection legislative requirements.

8BitDo does not discriminate against individuals exercising their rights over their information and it does not offer any financial incentives in connection with the collection, sale, or deletion of your personal information. In some cases, however, failure to provide information may result in us being unable to provide certain services, such as processing payments and fulfilling orders.
