I bought this mod kit to convert one of my original GameCube controllers to use on the Switch 2 GameCube emulator - the pro controller is ok but the XY buttons are offset from the GameCube position. The conversion process was made incredibly easy. The initial setup connected immediately to the Switch, and after downloading the interface software and updating the controller firmware, connection to the Switch 2 was just as seamless. I couldn't be happier with the result. Added bonus: this mod kit seems to respond a tad faster than the official pro controller (you'll notice this immediately trying to conduct songs in LoZ: WW). Sure, I could've bought a cheapo knockoff online to connect, but where's the fun in that? Originality all the way baby!
Really easy to install, the quality is great and it only took me like 25 minutes to install it and i'm not an expert so is great
I have nothing bad to say about this kit, the price point is incredibly fair, the quality is amazing, and it adds L3 R3 functionality so you can use it for modern games. This is hands-down the absolute best way to experience a wireless GameCube controller, even considering the Switch 2 revival. The only drawback is the lack of a left bumper, but that has never existed with original GameCube controllers anyway.
My main use is with my Steam Deck, but I've ordered the adapter to play on my GameCube too.
Used it to make a bluetooth gamecube controller for super smash brothers. Easy to install and a good way to breathe some new life into old hardware.
The only thing thats not good is the shoulderbutton platins. They are wrong and u have to solder it correctly. Thats the reason the shell doesnt close correctly.
Also the OEM Sticks doesnt fit on the stickbox.
If 8bitdo brings one wirred and the shoulder platins fixe it would sell out quickly.
