8BitDo Pro 2 (Hall Effect Joystick)

Controller works great and fast delivery!

It's a high quality gamepad which feels good in the hand, it's much better than that old cheap wired German one I bought for $15 like 12 years back. No appreciable input lag with Bluetooth (probably less than 20ms on average), though I'm not a competitive fighting game player or anything, maybe if you are then 20ms is too much.

However, I am actually a bit disappointed that the D-Pad sometimes gives false diagonal input. Not all the time, not super-often or enough to ruin the thing, I'm enjoying Yoshi's Island, but it IS there, and I wish the D-Pad was as high quality as the rest of the gamepad. I would gladly have paid more for a better D-Pad.

The first Pro 2 controller I bought had some issues with the joysticks wanting to drift. The support team helped me troubleshoot it, then when the problem couldn't be resolved, they replaced my controller at no charge. This is now my favorite controller of all time! It has the face feel of a SNES pad with the grip position of a PS controller; a combination I could only dream of as a kid. The shoulder triggers and joysticks are wonderfully sensitive and precise; I had to be careful about applying a finer touch than usual. The USB cable included with the controller is rather short, but this is hardly an issue since the battery life is great, so I usually play untethered. This is my second controller from 8BitDo (but surely not my last,) and I always recommend them to people now.

Absolutely lovely, I also have the C64 keyboard with the wrist rest and the m30. Items worth collecting for sure, please bring the r8 mouse in the other keyboard color ways!
