Great DIY kit

It's a great pleasure to be able to use an original controller with NSW. I already have an N64 DIY. However, the assembly was not smooth because the cable was in the wrong direction due to the soldering and I had to put it together with a little force. In the video, the soldered cable is positioned differently.

Great not destructive mod!

after a few weeks using this mod on my original GC controller, im really happy with the results.

it works perfectly on my steam deck playing dolphin and will probably buy the BT adapter for the original console.

Easy enough, minor complains

I am not clear on whether the controller is operable with Type-C. If it is, I'll happily cut up my case for it, but my early readings indicated that the type c was "not for that". So I don't know, hopefully the seller can reply and I can know for sure!

Another minor gripe, it would've been nice to include a hardware switch for power / syncing. I am so annoyed every time I want to sync to a new device or change the controller mode, because I need to look up what the right combinations to hold are. If it was just a dedicated sync or a dedicated power button, it would've been easier. Yes it would require more case mods, but I don't mind, I'm already taking it apart!

Overall great kit, considering picking up the SNES mod for my buddy at work who has kept his original SNES controller all these years. It was the same for me for my NGC, except that I am considerably younger.

Hoping for analog trigger support

The mod kit is kind of amazing and very easy to install. However, it would be brilliant if 8bitdo find a way to enable analog trigger support on Switch 2 and announce it clearly on their website if they do. Updating the firmware is a bit of a faff as you have to open up the controller to get to the usb-c port.
