My controller got ever more amazing with this mod unlike the wavebird this one has vibration. I highly recommend to beginners as well it’s a very easy mod
Helped me to restore the best controller EVER made, and now its wireless!!
I installed it into my SSBU GameCube controller and it fit perfectly. I haven’t tested the switch connection yet but I’ve been using it on my GameCube with the wireless adapter and on my PC to play Rivals of Aether 2. In my testing I haven’t experienced any noticeable input latency. I’m about to go into some gripes I have with the kit but I just want to say I fully recommend it, even without my complaints. I only have 3 small gripes with the kit. First gripe is I couldn’t get the Pc Bluetooth connection to work without the Game Cube Wireless Adapter. My PC would connect to it but not register any inputs. My second gripe is that you have to do some soldering to retain the rumble functionality of your GameCube controller. I’m experienced with soldering so it wasn’t any trouble for me, but I can see people struggling with it. My last gripe is the charger for the controller is a very small and thing barrel jack instead of a modern standardized format like USB-C. It was probably a space issue since the port for it takes up the hole the old cords used to come out of, but I would’ve rather had a small cord with a USB-C port popping out than having to deal with the included barrel jack.
Well designed and built, but as it is I can't get I can't get rumble or independent triggers on PC or Android because of DirectInput limitations. Holding out hope for a firmware update. Speaking of, somewhat unfortunate that you must open the controller to get at the USB-C port, but I don't know what else they could have done without having to modify the controller shell. Better hope you don't lose that weird charging cable.
