8BitDo Mod Kit for NES Classic Edition Controller (New Edition)

Bought this thinking it is a set containing the mod kit plus the receiver for NES console but only contained mod kit. Verified it worked with PC when playing MAME. Purchased another 8bitdo receiver for NES but unsure if the modded controller is compatible. Maybe website for the mod kit should clearly state it contains "mod kit only w/o receiver" or have purchase option to "add NES receiver". There are folks out there looking for 1-stop solution w/o making additional purchases.

Easy to install and set up. I've purchased similar mod kits for the SNES and PlayStation mini consoles. All are excellent!

Got this so I can try out playing with the original NES controller on my Steam Deck with Emulatora, and it's worked flawlessly! Other than the proprietary cable, it's a must have for old school fans wanting to play on modern tech!

This mod quickly allows you to modernize an NES controller to work in the modern world, the feel is identical and input lag was not noticeable during my time with it so far. Pairing, as with all Bluetooth devices… Can be tricky.
