8BitDo Mod Kit for Original N64 Controller

The sticky doesn’t feel the same as the OG N64 but is a pretty good replacement, it has a “modern” feeling, the wireless works great it’s seems there’s no lag and overall having the opportunity to turn an old controller into a old/modern one is just awesome

I’ve always been impressed with 8BitDo products, from their Bluetooth receivers for retro consoles to their controllers, and this N64 mod kit is no exception. I decided to give it a try and couldn’t be happier with the results. After purchasing a broken N64 controller to salvage the shell on eBay and giving it a thorough cleaning, the installation of the new board was straightforward. While not completely effortless, it was definitely simple and manageable. I’m really glad I chose this mod kit over corporation evil Nintendo’s subscription-based service just to access their Bluetooth N64 controller. As for the Hall effect analog stick, it’s fantastic—smooth, precise, and a joy to use. I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to modernize their controller while maintaining its classic feel.
