not cheap but surprised by the quality, especially from a company I had not heard from before. the buttons are clicky and responsive. the controller is comfortable to hold even though it’s pretty small. great product!

One of my favorite controllers to use

First of all, I have been a long time enjoyer of 8bitdo controllers and love my original SN30 Pro and the d-pad holds up well, but I think 8bitdo missed the mark with the hall effect controllers.

Sometimes the controller works fine, other times there is a prominent deadzone on either stick. Sometimes the issue clears, but it never resolves itself without restarting the controller and hoping the issue fixes itself.

I have purchased 2 8bitdo Pro and 2 8bitdo SN30 Pro -- all hall effect -- and 3 of them have joystick deadzone issues.

I will be reaching out to support to return these controllers for non-hall effect versions.

I am very satisfied with this controller, I am often in the way to go and was looking for a controller to play some retro gaming via emulator, and this controller is perfect!
It fits great in my hands, without causing any pain, even for my big hands, so it's perfect for using it also with my Switch because the Switch controller always brings me pain on long sessions.
As a nomad, it's also great to have a controller that fits easily any space in my bag and is not too big like the PS4 controller I used before.
It's so great that it convinced my girlfriend to get a controller for herself too!
