8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller

I bought this specifically to play on my steam deck and I have to say I’m not happy with its performance so far. The website says steam deck compatible, but most if not all the games I have tried have had trouble recognizing the controller. I messed with a bunch of settings, but the best I was able to get was buttons that were slightly mismapped. Enough to be annoying, especially since I had to launch into desktop mode for it to work that well. I’m hopeful that compatibility will continue to improve over time, because otherwise the controller is great. I like the design, the grip, the stand, and the lights, I just wish it would actually work as a controller!

I appreciate that the controller has both Bluetooth & wireless USB options. It makes the controller very reliable in terms of connection. I like that the advanced magnetic sticks allow for precise control. I request that you make the official software for the controller natively supported on Linux.

Amazing controller. Only critical flaw for me is that fact that I cant get access to the actual gyroscope data on PC but have to get it mapped to one of the analog sticks. Would be really helpful as a game developer.
