8BitDo Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox (Hall Effect Joystick)

The whole product is very sturdy and is a good alternative for an expensive official controller. As a casual gamer I wasn’t familiar with back paddles, but I have managed to make good use of them.
Although, I have some gripes with it: triggers and face buttons. Some days ago the left trigger started squeaking and even though it has now stopped, I believe the spring inside lets it extend too much, leading to a noticeable “touch” with the inner chassis above it. I don’t think it’s meant to extend and make this sound because the right trigger has a bigger distance from the bumper and is smooth as usual.
The second gripe is with the face buttons: they don’t like being pushed over a long time (>~15 secs) and start “making false contact” with the sensor below it. When I push them I have to be careful to apply a bit more force and focus on my thumb to feel if I am pushing but still not giving input. It’s never happened to me on another controller. I have to use them with “intention”.

Ive read alot of praise about this controller on gaming forums. I usually by cheap controllers from Walmart. This one works like a cheap one. The difference will be in how long it lasts. The Walmart one usually last about a year.

Wired, wireless, Pro 2, Xbox ultimate: 8bitdo knows how to make a good controller. The Hall effects work like a charm, and the wired has low to no latency when played with steam games or anything else. I love these controllers and will continue to buy them in the future!
