I already have one of 8bitdo's fullsize keyboards, but I also wanted to use these on a split layout board I got recently (Mistel MD770) since I like the look and feel of the 8bitdo keycaps. I really like how the set includes different sized modifier keys to work with just about any weird layout. (It's even got an ISO enter key for folk who are into that!) There are cheaper keycap sets out there (and goodness gracious are there more expensive ones) but I think these hit the sweet spot for price, and the dye sublimated legends should be sturdy enough to last for years.
Sound:
The 8bitdo keycaps tend to lower the pitch of my switches, for both the Kailh Box White V2s of the 8bitdo boards and the Cherry MX Silent Reds of my split board. While auditory feedback is subjective and it'll depend on your particular setup, I was surprised by how much these keycaps improved the sounds from my board
Feel:
Compared to an OEM profile, these caps have a broad, roughly square surface for you fingers. I find it makes typing accuracy a bit easier. Folks with larger fingers might also appreciate the shape. I also like how the key profile curves on both the horizontal and vertical axis for the individual key, which helps me to center my fingers as I type. Across the rows, the surface of the keys arcs slightly upwards, which also feels nice. The surface finish of the plastic is just right, striking a good balance between being smooth enough to glide my fingers across without being a magnet for fingerprints.
Looks:
Admittedly this was the main reason I got these since I already knew how they would look from my other board. The main keys are a warm light grey, which contrast nicely with the bright red key legends. Print quality on the legends is top-notch, and the slightly rounded font to match the curvature of the key face show thoughtful attention to detail. The modifiers are in a darker shade of grey, which can make the red slightly more difficult to read, but it looks like 8bitdo already worked to adjust a bit. Compared to the legends on the modifiers for the original N edition TKL keyboard, the legends on the modifiers look to be about twice as big which mitigates the issue. These don't really do much special with fancy RGB lighting, but likely aren't concerned about that if you're shopping for these. There's also a good variety of novelty legends included for fun. I used the Start/Select keys for my right side enter and shift keys, and the little joystick legend makes sense for "ctrl" since my board has a 1u right control key.
Recommendations:
If you want to use these for a DIY board or to customize a prebuilt unit, I think they look perfectly at home on a black ABS or anodized chassis (especially if you use them alongside the matching mouse). They'd also probably look good with a complimentary color, like a light blue or navy. Red would likely work too, but make sure that you're going for a lighter shade if you're looking to color match with the legends. I will caution that the slight warmth of the grey will clash with a neutral white or silver aluminum chassis.
8BitDo Retro Keycaps
The keycaps themselves are great! I should have done my research and made sure that they would fit my keyboard better, but that's on me. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to change the font for the main letters to match the lettering used on the 'F1-12' keys. The rounded ends to the letters clash slightly with the hard/sharp ends of the top-row lettering. This is a minor complaint, but still worth sharing! Thanks for reaching out!

Lots of fun keycaps here with various icons. I'd love to see more of these come out, perhaps in different flavors for the different keyboards. My NES style retro keyboard is very happy, but my FC retro 108 keyboard is pretty jealous!
