8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller

On paper, this is a great controller. Four extra buttons, TMR sticks, trigger switches, an included dock, and even Steam Input support with their beta firmware. Unfortunately, I had to go through multiple controllers to find one that didn't have any quality issues. The first controller had mushy, unresponsive face buttons, and the second controller had a malfunctioning trigger. Also, the back buttons on this controller tend to double-click when pressed from a certain angle. It seems to be an issue with the shell. To their credit, 8bitdo provided replacements and tried to help me fix the double-clicking, but it was still a frustrating experience.

I needed a new controller after my Xbox One controller started having issues. This is a perfect replacement

I use this mostly for kart racing games.
Comparing this to Nintendo's (not 8bitdo's) Switch pro controller. The dpad is much less squishy and it feels great. LB and RB have a significant click which makes it feel responsive. LT and RT are extremely smooth and feel well calibrated.
Finally, the stick. I don't know if they actually oil it up, but it feels like it since there doesn't seem to be any kind of friction or resistance after 30 days with relatively high stress since I play kart games.

Side note, it worked right out of the box with NixOS so it's definitely good for the penguin OS with the 2.4g and bluetooth.
