8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller with Charging Dock

After using the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller w/ Charging Dock for over a month now, doing side by side test with the switch pro controller, and dualshock 4 across various platforms: (Switch, Pc, SteamDeck, Ps4, Ps3, PsVita) I can confidently say this is the best controller I've ever used and I'm using it as my main controller from now on for every platform! The first of my concerns was the lack of "HD rumble" provided by the switch pro controller but that does not seem to be an issue at all since the rumble feels even better than the Pro Controller and overall feels exactly the same with the sticks and even better in other cases (D-Pad). The D-Pad and sticks are the selling point for this controller and after playing a handful of games the bluetooth range seems to be longer than the dualshock 4 in terms of latency and overall no game has had latency at all with inputs and the dpad feels buttery smooth (I have tested playing across a living room as well as on a tv in my bedroom and on various other monitors with decently good refresh rates). I have yet to find a use for the two programmable buttons on the back and would like to see an update to the software that allows you to input keybinds on the back buttons (for wii u emulation I need to press shift key to switch to gamepad view for certain games), if this is possible great!

Overall every aspect of this controller is great and the dock is absolutely amazing and satisfying to click the controller into, I have never had an issue with battery life even on days were I spend the entire day playing something input intensive. While not entirely useful for most games I would like to note that the triggers do have analog triggers on PC and by extension SteamDeck, this is particularly useful for gamecube emulation and I recommend them for emulation use on any console as the dpad will have you covered for every 2d to sidescrolling game.

feels durable and a long battery life. if i had to point out one downside is that the controller is a bit small although for me it is fine and still comfortable.
