While the controller works fine under Linux, the software does not, meaning that the L4/R4 buttons can't be configured, and the firmware can't be updated for Switch 2 compatibility. Setting up a Windows VM isn't *that* hard, but it's still frustrating to have to in the first place.

I like mine mostly use it for smash and it’s good at that. I will say sometimes it’s annoying to get it to connect but I’m sure that’s just something I’ll figure out more with some time. Importantly the buttons feel much different than a Nintendo controller this one is more akin to an Xbox controller so be aware of that. Other than those things though the sticks feel great and build quality overall is quite nice so I would recommend.

It would be a 10/10 if the programmable buttons worked properly

Overall I'm really happy with the controller, great build and feel. Unfortunately the L4 button doesn’t work, which is a bit disappointing, though I rarely need it for the strategy games and Stardew Valley I usually play. Otherwise, very satisfied.
