Since the controller was first sold, there have been many firmware updates and improvements. Sadly, these are not shown on the show page. For example, the controller works on a Nintendo Switch with both Bluetooth and the dongle. It also (unlike the page claims) supports both Windows and Android through Bluetooth. The cool design, features, compatibilities, charging stand, case, and everything else about the controller make it seem crazy that it costs less than a cheaply made Xbox controller.
Works as advertised premium feel
This controller beats all expectations, the only personal error is I didn't read up that it wasn't switch compatible so know that before you buy. Otherwise steam deck and computer wise it works great.
Overall, it is a fine controller for the cost, but there are definite some corners cut when compared to even non-elite Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft controlles:
- The controller does not disconnect correctly after the game program is closed. Takes a while for it to fully dosconneyso that it can be charged on the provided stand properly.
- The cross directional pad is mushy and inaccurate. Often detects as wrong adjacent direction. For example, pressing down being read as down-left or down-right.
- I'm not sure, but there doesn't seem to be a way to check the battery charge level.
- The left stick squeaks when pushed up and moved around the upper 90 degree arc (between up-left and up-right range)
I do like the controller, however the D-Pad is immensely loud to use! I actively use my other controller as it isn't as loud so have delegated it to player 2 for this reason
