I think the D-pad is amazing but the trigger vibration is horrible. The extra back buttons aren’t compatible with Xbox. The triggers feel worse than the OG Xbox Series S controller.
Firstly, regarding the title, I'm not talking about the customer and the IT support, only the 8bitdo ultimate software features.
The software is missing features such as macro usage, profiles creation, complete deadzone configuration (there is deadzone limits option, but I was hoping for more options just like Steam has) and complete mapping of ALL buttons, it's a bit of a letdown I can't remap all of the buttons that are accessible but super reasonable since the controller is xbox compatible and not PC.
On another note, I want to talk about my firmware upgrade experience and confusion.
I was suggested to upgrade the firmware of the controller as I've noticed that the firmware version by the 8bitdo Ultimate Software was 1.04, which is counter intuitive since it's plug and play, regardless to that, I had to contact the support due to an issue with the online installer, and the support sent me an offline installer in which I used but never got the proof that the process worked except for a "successfully installed" message that didn't change anything.
Bottom line is:
The software (microsoft store version) displays the initial firmware version even after a firmware upgrade which is confusing.
In my opinion, for a fully simple user experience there should be install buttons of both the online and the offline firmware upgrade tools, and fix the 8bitdo Ultimate Software input of the real controller's firmware version.
And as for a more user control I think it would be a good idea to add more features to the software and add an offline version of the software as well.
Secondly, about the controller itself: the reason I picked that controller is the controller layout and the data delay.
previously i was using the Logitech F710, moved to the PS5, and lastly moved to specifically this version of 8bitdo pro 2.
the reason behind it is that the xbox version has minimal input delay which is amazing, but also minimal PC support which is again, reasonable.
my main issue with the physical aspect of the controller is the action buttons (A, X, Y, B).
I'm a rocket league player, and as a high rank player, sometimes it happens that when i click or release the "A" button, it registers as a double click instead of one click which causes me to do an involuntary ingame action.
I assume it has something to do with the simplicity of the controller frame or the button sensetivity, either way, it impacts the gameplay directly, and configuring a deadzone doesn't help either since it's important mechanics of the game and i imagine other games as well.
overall the experience was 80% good, I love the design, I love the grip, I love the design of the software and the simplicity of it's usage overall, and of course the performance is amazing! but the software is incomplete, the intuitive upgrade support is missing, and the buttons are a bit too sensitive.

Had to get used to the shape of the controller. Was kind of worried about the detachable cable. But the cable is very strong inside the controller, meaning it's hard to come loose. I will be using these controllers from now on. Now that I am comfortable using them. I was using regular xbox controller before I switched to this. I think this 8bitdo pro 2 controller will be my main controller in the future also
