I have no idea what the quality of the product is, because I have not recieved it despite reaching out to customer support. Tracking the item, it still hasn't changed since May, and that's despite actually recieving a separate shipment of items from the same order.

This controller is pairs well, and feels identical to original Genesis/JP Saturn (to me anyway.) Battery is also not a problem at all, but I do wish it had a changeable option. Another "nice to have" would be a 2.4Ghz mode so it could pair with other 8BitDo family receivers in that line. However, I presume it would add to the cost, and can't imagine changing the battery (whenever that may be) can be done with a solder kit and a security bit screwdriver.
