I like companies that supply repair parts for electronics but the cost to ship only a few internationally is pricey. I wish there was a supplier that kept these in stock like ifixit does for steamdeck parts.
My R1 L1 buttons were both getting weird feeling and after doing some looking around, found they were just rubber membrane domes and they were wearing out. When I replaced them, one had very little resistance to it and the other was torn. But this Pro 2 gamepad has lots of use and it was easy to replace.
Bought the spare parts after the rubber pads failed on my L1 button (Elden Ring spam lol). Item was out of stock for months so I waited.... and finally ordered them last month. Delivery is.... slow... considering how Malaysia is so close to China. Tracking is also messy, didnt get tracking for all stages of delivery so it was a lot of waiting without info.
But the item did arrive safely and work as expected on my Pro 2. Quite happy that 8bitdo supports their controllers with spare parts, definitely helps me save money.
I bought these for my SN30 Pro (regular model, not Pro+), feeling they could be made to fit with a little modification since they looked rather similar. I can happily confirm my feeling was correct.
The overall shape is the same and the mounting holes are identical. All that's need to make these fit the SN30 Pro is to *carefully* trim down the round protrusions on the sides so the shape matches that of the SN30 Pro's conductive rubbers. Such trimming will of course assumably have to be done at one's own risk, but it's a quick and easy job with a sharp hobby knife, and a way to get replacements for these conductive rubbers for the SN30 Pro which otherwise aren't available.
