8BitDo SN30 Pro, SN30 Pro+, Pro2 Joystick Rubber Replacement（2 PCS）

I've had my Pro 2 controller since 2016 and finally wore out the thumbsticks enough to warrant a replacement in 2025.

Incredibly, and in a move most companies won't do, 8BitDo offers replacement parts for their EXCELLENT controllers.

The thumb sticks were reasonably priced, arrived surprisingly fast and were simple to install.

I rarely go out of my way to root for a company, but this one is great and deserves money.

My A button in my old sn30pro started to stick, and after opening it up I discovered I had a tear in the conductive membrane. The replacent membrane was so cheap, it seemed like a no brainer to replace and it was! My favorite daily controller now works good as new and I have extra parts in case anything else wears down.

Notes for folks ordering replacement parts:
- order more than you need, shipping ended up more than the couple parts I got making me wish I got even more than I needed
- Disassembly is pretty easy, but there's a couple clips inside that aren't apparent. It's worth looking up a guide if you're lost.
- It requires both a small Phillips head and star screwdriver. A cheap multi-tool kit will do the job.

This time I purchased it to replace the thumbstick on my Steam controller. After using it, I felt that the indented part is smooth and slippery, so instead of creating an indentation, it might be better to shape it into a gentle spherical curve and engrave a fine mesh-like pattern across the entire surface.

The material is not quality rubber like an Xbox remote. Slippery and dry rots easily.
