8BitDo Ultimate 2.4G Controller with Charging Dock (Hall Effect joysticks)

i had a ps4 dualshock before buying, and only played via usb cable, so now playing any game with a wireless controller feels amazing; i just had to get used to the different button and analog layout of the controller and now i can play with no issue

I like how convenient it is. You pick it up off the charger and it's on. Put it down and it goes off. That's mainly what it does better than the "standard" xbone controller. Its buttons are also less noisy.
However the "triggers" are actually flaps which gives you less control and the analog sticks are convex and made of very smooth hard plastic, meaning you don't have any grip on them unless you put on 3rd party rubber caps. The signal between the controller and the usb dongle is rather weak so make sure you plug it in at the front of your pc or it might randomly disconnect. Overall I'd say it's great if you're not playing any action games but I hope they improve the next design for better grip on the sticks and control over the triggers.

The controller itself is amazing, it feels great to use in my hands, the triggers feel responsive and snappy, the joysticks are buttery smooth, it just feels comfortable to hold. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because I ordered the pink color a while back, but they took a week or so to inform me that not only do they not have any left in stock, but they’re discontinuing the color. I was left really disappointed and had to accept either the black or white one.

I gotta admit this is a pretty good upgrade from a standard Xbox or ps4 controller, with a superior joystick mechanism to boot. The textured plastic is both grippy and high quality feeling, with little bending or creaking. Would buy again
