Best repair/upgrade kit

Remember that time Superman died and came back cooler than ever? I was finally able to make use of an old controller with janky joysticks to make the wavebird controller we all wish we had. I would heavily recommend this mod if you like playing switch games with the NGC controller but are too lazy to keep setting up the usb adapter.

8BitDo GameCube Mod Kit

I appreciate the continued development and support for this product. I wanted to ask if there are any plans for future updates to include X-input support, which would greatly enhance compatibility with a broader range of games and systems.

Additionally, I think a new motherboard version featuring Amiibo functionality and gyro controls would be a fantastic enhancement, making the controller even more versatile for modern gaming setups. I'm also curious if 8BitDo has any plans to release updates that could rival some of the features offered by competitors like HandHeldLegend’s GameCube controller.

Thank you for considering these suggestions. I look forward to seeing how 8BitDo continues to innovate.

Not quiet better than a wavebird

Sticks are not calibrated properly which brings drift out of the box, what males the hall effect on those sticks useless, the wiring kit makes the rumble irreversable to the original mainboard. Analog triggers are not always used as analog ones due to lack of xinput.
So IF you are aware of those and can live with the downsides in exchange for a wireless gamecube controller, go for it. If not, safe your money.

GameCube Modkitb

I enjoy the mod kit. Building the mod kit is a great start for beginners who are seeking into learning more about electronics and video games. Overall, the build was not so bad at all. Takes about 20-30 mins to assemble everything. Can be used on a 3rd party GameCube controller as well with a few tweaks and quirks that needs to be addressed. But it's possible. Overall, I love the mod kit. And I love the feeling of an original GameCube controller that's wireless and fully compatible with the original GameCube console with the Bluetooth adapter and usable on switch as well.

Pretty good

With the receiver using frimware version 1.03 which fixing the joystick ranges this controller is a good alternative to be used on Gamecube!, It'd be perfect if it had 2.4g options to improve latency. The latency of this is around 20ms compared to 8ms Wavebird.
