I love this thing. It fits perfectly in my hands & all of the features work seamlessly with my Switch. I highly recommend it!
The best controller on the market considering price-quality.
8BitDo Pro 2 (Hall Effect Joystick)
Dpad barely registers diagonals. I primarily bought this for the Dpad for retro games and fighting games, but diagonals are missed consistently. The rest of the controller is fine, the controller is fantastic for games that use the sticks....just the Dpad is useless for retro games.
Amazing product, this is my third Pro controller; i got the Pro+ back in 2021, the orginal Pro 2 in 2022, and now this one. I discovered 8bitdo controllers back when i only had a Switch, but now i have a PC and use them mostly there. None have failed me yet and they all still work good as new with the precise and comfortable feel that ive come to expect from their brand. Ive only ever had to replace the joystick rubbers from all the regular wear and tear i put them through. I upgraded to the hall effects controller just because i could lol but i do have a real complaint, and that is that out of the box the sticks were not calibrated and were drifting, and also sometimes wouldnt reach 100% actuation when held all the way. Checking in the Ultimate Software the left stick would register at ~25% to the left when in neutral position, and the right stick at ~10% to the left; not good at all for a controller where the upgrade is supposed to make them drift proof. I trusted that 8bitdo makes good products so i did some research and found that they were simply not calibrated. The calibration mode is activated with a hidden button combination not found in the manual that i had to find online, when really it should be a feature integrated in the Ultimate Software. Once i calibrated them, everything worked perfectly like expected. Smooth, snappy, accurate, everything you look for in a controller. I really suggest you guys at 8bitdo add a calibration feature to the Ultimate software to compliment and perfect this flawless controller
